These advent calendars are a breeze to make and they bring so much joy to kids!

The kits come with all the fabric you need to finish a calendar: top, backing, binding. Just add a piece of 24” x 27” of batting and you’re set. An easy folding design and simple stitching is all that is required to form pockets where small gifts are placed for kids to find in December, counting the days leading to Christmas.

The “Old World Christmas” advent calendar is built a little differently, with each pocket cut out, folded to get a finished edge at the top and then stitched to the top around the remaining three sides. I used pinking shears to finish off the edges of the pockets before attaching them and then I simply quilted between the pockets to finish the advent calendar.
